Volunteer Opportunities Available on our Campus

Activities Helper:
Assist activities staff in transporting residents to and from activities. Activities are generally one hour in length, however volunteers are asked to arrive a half-hour before scheduled events to invite and transport residents.

A sampling of activities would include, but are not limited to:

  • Bingo
  • Cards and Games
  • Sing-A-Longs
  • Baking
  • Music and Movement
  • Sports Groups
  • Literary Circle
  • Religious Services
  • Parties

Outdoor Volunteer:
Volunteers are needed to fill the 40+ birdfeeders around the perimeter of our Home. We also need persons to help with plants and flowers, and seasonal decorations.

Physical Therapy Volunteer: Assist for a morning or afternoon to transport residents to and from physical therapy.

Behind the Scenes Volunteer: Assist with labeling of clothes, sewing or similar tasks.

Friendly Visitor: Visit with residents on a scheduled or unscheduled, but routine basis.

Trip Escort: Assist staff on outings longer than two hours. We travel locally to restaurants, malls, baseball games, fishing excursions and a variety of other interesting places. Volunteers are asked to pay for their own meals/admission.

Clerical Support: Deliver mail; occasionally help with other office work on an as needed basis.


There are a variety of other opportunities to suit different schedules and personalities.
